Irene is a national speaker, writer, consultant, and advisor, with over 28 years of experience working with youth. Her passion is for the misfits of the world, bringing the message of joy and hope. Formerly the Program Director of Urban Leadership Training for the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI), Irene is now Regional Managing Director with Able Works, advocating for youth and families to live free from poverty and oppression. She speaks nationally and internationally to youth and young adults, has written various curricula, and consults for churches and organizations to engage youth, youth culture, and racial justice issues.
